Our Mission Statement
Blackbird Promotions (BBP) is a
promotional company of a consortium of like minded individuals with
diverse & giving personalities that puts together charity events
of a varied nature. Everyone involved with BBP shows is a volunteer.
We believe that Charity given out of duty, without expectation of
return, at the proper time and place, and to a worthy person is
considered to be in the mode of goodness.
Lima may have more than our fair share
of tired, poor, and hungry. Not forgetting the broken, lost, and
recovering. When people are down on their luck, or when people are
bored, they tend to destroy things, self-destruct, or leave.
The mission of BBP is to lend
a helping hand to as many as possible, providing encouragement to
those that need it, and to provide and re-imagine the local area's
entertainment scene for the masses in and around Lima, Oh. while
doing so.
Our History
For example, we had acts ranging from acoustic to heavy metal in October 2013 for Halloween, then gave money to The Samaritan House, our local women and children shelter. They are in constant need of the support from concerned individuals who can help them continue to offer shelter to the homeless. There are many ways to help such as volunteering, offering monetary or in-kind support, or helping raise the awareness of homelessness.

For Christmas 2013, we
did a heavy metal show called #TwistedToyland. Then we threw a Christmas party for SafeHarbor. Safe Harbor is an emergency shelter serving abused,
neglected, homeless, and runaway children. Licensed to provide
short-term services, the shelter can accommodate twelve children (six
males and six females) ranging in age from birth to seventeen. BBP
also bought presents for a single parent family we adopted from the
Allen County Child Services.
Janurary
2014, we threw a rave called #FurryFury to help Debs Dogs, an Animal Rescue Shelter in
Lima, Oh. Deb's Dogs is a non profit
501-c-3 organization. They depend on donations and adoption fees to
fund their animals vet care. Most of the dogs that go into
their care come from The Allen County Dog Warden Facility.
Usually the dogs they take from the
shelter are the ones that need extra attention.
In February, on
Valentine's Day, we will be doing a live stream called #ShowSomeLove with an Acoustic &
Comedy act @ Harry's Híde-a-way in Lima, Oh. to benefit a breast
cancer survivor that lost everything as a result of having the
dreaded disease.
Everyone has a tendency to, at some point, want to give something in charity.
We need help with sponsors, investors, and volunteers. We try to help as much as we can for everyone that helps us.
We
at Blackbird Promotions (BBP) hope you consider this offer and hope
that you find it in your hearts to assist us in giving back to the
community.
